Simplified Multi 2

An opening of Two Diamonds shows either weak 2/2, or a balanced hand with 21-22 HCP

Responder bids as follows:

• 2 = willing to pass partner's weak 2/2 (opener's 2NT rebid shows the strong NT)
• 2 = willing to invite game in hearts. If opener's suit is spades, opener passes. If opener has hearts, opener bids 3/4 (opener's 2NT shows strong 2NT)
• 2NT = 16+ HCP, asks further description:
  • 3 = weak 2 with maximum values. 3 now asks suit quality:
    • 3 = weak,
    • 3 = 2 of top 3 honors
  • 3 = weak 2 with maximum values 3 now asks suit quality:
    • 3 = weak,
    • 3NT = 2 of top 3 honors
• 3 = weak 2 with minimum values
• 3 = weak 2 with minimum values
• 3NT = strong NT, 21-22 HCP
