Submarine responses to 2D - 2NT

Our 2D opening shows 11-33 HCP and 4-4-4-1 or 5-4-4-0 distribution with no five-card major.

The suit below the shortness is always bid to show the shortness in the next higher suit. It gets a little more complicated in clubs as you will see. The Submarine bid leaves room for the Control asking sequence.

Control asking

The raise of the short suit immediately after revealing of the shortness is control asking. Respond 0-3 with the next suit and up the line with more.
